It has always been a goal of the St. Albert Botanic Park to encourage members of the community to garden and to learn about the plants that will successfully grow in St. Albert. In the early years, the Park volunteers offered classes that focused on the growing and caring of roses. Proper rose pruning was taught in the spring while in July instruction was given on how to exhibit roses prior to our Rose Show. In 2007 the John Beedle Volunteer Centre (JBC) was completed, allowing classes to be held indoors.

The Botanic Park’s Education Committee is 10 classes in Spring 2018 covering a variety of  gardening topics.
